Sounds like a good plan El. Whoever's hosting the event should be required to provide .2's and .3's for testing, along with the chrono of course.

I think the event host should crono with what they brought to run in the guns they have, as for instance when I run lets say my PDW, I use .2's, my pistols run ( as a norm ) .2's, but my systema I ran .25's with the black or blue cylinder, black was 320 fps with .25's and blue was 350 or around that with .25's.
So that's all I would carry on the field. Obviously the event host need to do their job to secure a safe environment for players coming to their hosted event but also, I don't know how I would react to some one friend or not shooting me ( accidentally of course ) in the exposed flesh with a 400 fps gun in CQB. Or after 30 rounds from a saw for 400 plus.
I would think the FPS of a saw on a indoor field, ( a saw in CQB is kinda retarded even though I have a shorty for just that purpose ) shouldn't be over 300. Considering it sprays BB's forever!
One thing that CQB should limit in carry ammo even with bags of extra ammo. To prevent guys from sitting bunkered down shooting till dry then letting a guy cover them while they re load.
FPS should be really limited when it comes to shooting at some one in close quarters, I got tore open a few times when I went to the farmington game. I think there were some really hot guns going there. So definitely lower than 300 inside close quarters, and not due to me being scared to get shot, if any one saw my you tube video of me getting shot with the 12 gauge you'd know that I just think that ends up being one of those things with a newbie like player buying one of the clones that shoot 400 out of the box.
I know it sux for guys who only have the funds for a clone gun and not a couple, or the money to pay some one to work on it to get it to shoot down under the correct FPS, but it has always been a practice of mine to have a couple guns so I could play in any situation, so when the Systema's hit the market they were a perfect gun to use.
Now with the adjustable FPS GBB riffle, its more possible for guys to have a versatile gun for any field. Just allot of ramblings that I will have to admit might not make a whole lot of cents right now I'm just thinking if some one wants to play on a indoor field they should have the gear needed to play with out question, I mean with a clone only costing 170.00 or a bit more they should have a gun that shoots the out door limit and a gun that shoots the indoor limit.
Seams the Mil-sim aspect of things as I have seen them work and make a game more challenging Like knowing your down to your last rounds in the riffle or know some one is going to charge into that room your hiding in so you've got to make a rush out with your pistol drawn and see how you come out or last stand.
That is only going to happen when ammo gets limited on the field, makes guys want to move and rush forward to take as much ground as you can before you get taken out, or at the least to use up your last rounds to get as many kills as possible so you can go back to re spawn to re arm and head back out.
Ammo restriction also keep a guy from sitting in a bunker and lobbing rounds down a hallway or what ever and rewinding your high cap because you'll have 300 rounds to sit and poke out till some other person shows up with his high cap to sit with you and do the same thing. less ammo on players less chance of some one wanting to camp even with trigger control and shooting semi only.

Ii understand ammo restrictions, i like that, but I can't name a single person who runs a gun at under 300 fps. Even a stock mauri would have to be downgraded, and no one will want to run something that low. 350 is reasonable, and we get people complaining about having it that low..

Running guns under 300 is ridiculous. From what GunSlinger was saying, it seems more so that the it isn't the rules that are the problem. Its the fact that new kids like to cheat and use their 400FPS weapons in CQB. The problem lies within that field, things were pretty lax there. There was no one checking for the zip-ties or anything on the weapons. It was because everyone felt they could trust other players, obviously that was wrong.
However, I think with a MilSim enviroment it already attracts more mature players so, I don't think you have to worry about irresponsibility as much.

Sorry I meant 350 or so, I forgot the guns don't come like they did with my first TM which shot 280 or so. But yeah in a nut shell that was what I was more or less trying to say.

Wow. Yeah 400 would hurt, but this is Milsim and I understand that most of the guys here are civi's but dang, man the heck up. If this insults, please understand that I fully agree with minding the rules given by the event host. Personally, if I was in a cqc game and there was a 400 fps limit, I'd love it! I would just try harder not to get hit! If I did get hit, oh frickin well. Suck it up and move on. I don't know. Just the Marine in me I guess.
