A simple Forum Game. I post a picture of A firearm. Preferably Military, but Civilian firearms are OK, as long as they were originally designed for a civilian purpose. (IE: NO HK91) You may ONLY post a picture after the firearm is correctly identified. There MUST be a confirming post after you post your answer before you are allowed to post the next picture. Ill begin.

Ok....judging by the batteries and power cables and a non-rotating barrel that appears to have coils....a railgun? If it is, then it's an early one and I haven't the foggiest who would have made it. It's got to be a prototype.

It's got to be a prototype. I was thinking along similar lines. The electric/battery combination made me think of a mini-gun type set up. The user leads me to think it's Vietnamese and the graininess of the pic makes me think early Vietnam conflict era. Regardless, I'm still stumped.

Ok, kudos Maj. Scott! Invented by Mr. Virgil Rigsby and patented on May 22nd 1934, some call it a rail gun, but it can be argued after reading through the pattent that it is more like a coil gun.
