What is your preferred camouflage? Personally, I am a foreign camouflage kind of guy. My current flavor of the week is Norwegian.

Honestly because of games sake woodland and tri color desert are the camos' I like because most games you can easily get a team geared out quickly and look good when you roll up to a event, BUT, if its a preferred camo, it used to be cry and cry knock off, but now that every fat kid and his lazy ass cousin has and wears it, I would say any solid ( black, O.D. etc. ) is more and more my preferred.

I am in love with my MARPAT. They started coming out with it just as I was ending my stint. I was able to get ahold of one set though. Don't have the high speed low drag tan boots yet.
I fell in love with the MARPAT when A CPL and a SGT in my platoon compared them side by side. One was in woodland, one in MARPAT. They stood next to one another in front of a wooded area. Both worked well, but it was much easier to see the guy in woodland. The digitals just worked better. The pattern messes with the eyes. I still have the woodland as well though.

Please note I'm not knocking someone else's thing but I have yet to be so impressed with Multicam. Granted my experience with it is limited as well but what I have seen it isn't so much better than the other forms that it justifies the extra cost. Also, I hear people talking about being authentic in their gear yet I multicam isn't issue for any branch of the US forces yet is it? Basically what I'm asking is, is it really that good that I should stringly consider it for my next purchase over traditional woodland or MArpat?

I agree that it is way better than ACU in the woods. When you say zip out ass do you mean like the old long johns? That is wild. It saves you from getting caught with your pants down even if you're taking a crap.
Thanks Maj. Scott! Is it likely that multicam s going to replace some othre forms of battle dress anytime soon?
Finally, in the third picture is Bogden playing XBox360 there? You think that's GTA or Halo?

As a previous poster stated, woodland and 3-color desert are sure things to get into events and is therefore what my team uses. I'll admit that the oldschool BDUs and DCUs aren't as tacticool as some of the newer stuff. However, the TRUs or BDUs with RAID mods are good-to-go and are easy on the pocketbook. Multicam IMO works well and is much more universal than ACU pattern. Air Force spec ops have been seen in MC, but off-hand I do not remember what unit...PJs, combat controllers maybe?? EDIT: here is a photo of a member of the "20th Special Tactics Training Squadron" - www.afsoc.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/090331-F-5957s-268.jpgI am interested in the new pixilated "digital" patterns but haven't gotten my hands on anything good yet. I do have some PLA (China) Type 07 camo that I have yet to field... ...but, personally, I am on the lookout for either Mexican... or Columbian... or Italian....

Treerat, in regards to multicam, it's actually becoming more and more popular. Its quite common to see AFSOC and PJs in it now. While it's not issued primarily, it is becoming more common in SOF groups.
The original Crye Combats did have a zipper around the ass. The new Gen 2 combats no longer have that, though I suppose if a group in the army wanted it, they'd get it custom done.
